More data confirm that the frequent prostate biopsy indication should be reconsidered.

A prostate biopsy is not so simple to be performed as imagined. The procedure is often followed by complications such as infection, fever, bleeding, and for this reason, it´s request  must be well considered.
It is already known that physicians need to reduce the request of PSA testing, which often leads to unnecessarily indication of prostate biopsy.
A new research shows that patients anxiety to perform this test is another comorbidity and is much higher in patients with complications, frequently observed on the next 7 days following the biopsy.
